Saturday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (1 hour for lunch)
Sunday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (1 hour for lunch)

Falling on the weekend before the actual exam, this workshop will prepare you for the AM session of the Level III exam.  It is expected that you will know the content at this point, as this workshop is exclusively focused on how to answer AM exam questions based on section (Fixed-Income, Individual IPS, etc.) and keyword (Determine/Justify, Calculate, Identify, etc.). This will not be a review session of the content; that can be done more efficiently online ahead of the weekend. During the workshop, candidates will answer a series of AM style questions from across the curriculum. Each question will be followed by a peer grading session based on very comprehensive grading keys.  Grading sessions are led by Dr. Meldrum.  This step is quite critical.  By grading other candidate’s questions you will get insight into how the grader will most likely respond to your answer.  You become better at presenting answers to questions when you understand what a grader must do.

Based on pacing, it is expected that we will cover at least 15 AM questions and as many as 25 (equivalent to 1.5 to 2.5 AM mock exams).  These questions will not appear on the site as part of the Level III mock exam series.  They will be unique to this workshop.  All answer keys will be online and unlocked as we progress through each question (so no temptation to look ahead). Questions from candidates are welcome and every effort will be made to address them, time permitting.  We are also considering having an open 3-hour Q&A session Saturday evening so that we don’t lose a lot of time during the workshop (this will depend on pacing and candidate demand for a Q&A session).

Purchase also comes with complete immediate access to Dr. Meldrum’s Level III Full Package option ($375 CAD value).  This package also provides support for the AM exam, and will feature comprehensive reviews of each section well before the workshop weekend.

Some other things that are included:

  1. Lunch on Saturday and Sunday is provided, as well as a Sunday breakfast (this will be buffet style, which makes sure we don’t lose time since there will be no need for you to search out a location, order, then wait. This was not cheap by the way, so eat lots!)
  2. Swag bag – you get a hat, shirt and pen. By the way, this is the only way to get MM-branded product.
  3. Discounted room rates at the Marriot where we will be holding the workshop – no travel time.
  4. All required printed materials will be provided for you – no need to print out anything beforehand.

If you do not pass the June 2020 Level III exam after attending the Weekend Workshop, I will grant you free access to upgraded 2021 Level III content along with Office Hours.

Cancellation Policy

In the event that a candidate books a spot for the Weekend Workshop and later determines that they cannot attend, the following accommodation will be made:

1.  $270 CAD would be non-refundable (we must pay the hotel per person for meals and meeting room well before the weekend to reserve the number of spots).  In the event that we are fully booked however, and we can sell your spot to another candidate, we can offer a full refund of this amount.

2.  The balance of $450 CAD can be rolled over into two gradings sessions, which on their own are $225 CAD each.

So, if we are fully booked, and we can sell your spot to another candidate, you receive a refund of $270 plus you get two live grading sessions online.  If we are not fully booked, you still receive the 2 live grading sessions, but forfeit the other $270 CAD.

Please Note: Cancellations MUST be made either on or before APRIL 25th, 2020 in order to receive the grading session. Cancellation requests after this date may not be eligible for the grading sessions and the $450 CAD associated with the sessions may be non-refundable. All efforts will be made to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee there will be a grader available the longer we go past April 25th. The Full Access, Premium Access and OFTC content are not part of this cancellation policy.
